Executive Advisor

Brent Kassing, Executive Director, Advisory Services for Red Clay, is an experienced professional services executive who has sold and delivered approximately 50 solutions throughout North America. These projects have included large system implementations, strategic initiatives, technology assessments and complex CIS procurements. His primary goal on every engagement is superior delivery of all services ensuring success of the project and his clients.

Over his 30+ year career, Brent has worked at some of the largest utilities in North America including Southern Company, Duke Energy, National Grid and Exelon. He also delivered projects at Independent System Operators (ISOs), municipalities and co-operatives.

Brent completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and his graduate studies (MBA) at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

    Provides executive guidance to utilities as it relates to assessments, delivery assurance, client side project support and strategic planning. Working within the Advisory Practice to expand our presence, collateral and offerings to the marketplace beyond our core Oracle capabilities.

    Provides leadership for Ray of Hope Amazon, an organization that serves the people who live along the Amazon River in Brazil. Manages all US financials and facilitates the transfer and recording of funds to Brazil. Represents Ray of Hope in the United States for churches and other organizations.

    Sold and delivered consulting engagements regarding strategic planning and quality assurance. Worked on a complex multi-year CIS transformation project and re-ignited and solidified an approach for vendor selection services.

    As part of the consulting organization, was responsible for the identification and delivery of new projects within the utility space. Also led sales efforts, coordinated proposal responses, managed the sales pipeline and worked across the organization to forge new relationships.

    Was responsible for identifying, qualifying and assisting in the closing of business solution sales opportunities across the United States. Although the focus is on consulting engagements with Global Business Services, the responsibilities of the role include bringing a complete solution to a client that takes into account both the technical and functional aspects of a project. Additionally, provided industry subject matter expertise to the IBM product line to ensure a appropriate value proposition has been developed.

    Was responsible for entire sales life cycle for all North American sales and marketing activities. Supervised sales force and proposal director with day-to-day activities associated with the pursuit of clients and delivery of proposals. Landed several large engagements paving the way for subsequent sales of the company.

    Played a significant role in the firm’s growth from a 24-person, start-up boutique firm to an international success that at one time employed more than 275 professionals.

    Managed all aspects of the Commercial Relationship from identifying opportunities, establishing relationships, assessing needs, defining and pricing solutions, developing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts and payment collection. Marketed a wide array of Structure’s consulting services including system implementation, business process and procedures, project management and organizational assessments.

Delivered programs at large Tier 1 utilities and also worked to lead and guide other implementations with issues and troubleshooting at the project level to ensure project deployment success.
